La Tour. The Vertical Element

Project book documenting the different stages of Christian Philipp Müller's commissioned art piece at the Grands Ateliers in Villefontaine. The space was conceived by Florence Lipsky and Pascal Rollet, to which the artist produced a large on site sculpture in response to it. The Grands Ateliers are an interdisciplinary project space for a new experimental approach to education. The work involved the students of 12 schools in Grenoble, Lyon and St Etienne to produce a hybrid construction "La Tour" open to the students and other artists. For financial reasons this project was never completed. This book shows the work in progress of this project with insider notes on the process and utopia of this entire endeavour.
