Conceived & produced by Aaron Flint Jamison while working on his exhibition, Opportunity Zones, at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen in Switzerland, this issue of Veneer is particularly supple – flexible and soft – thanks to the binding on the upper side of the volume, and to the choice of a smooth, blue paper. This blue feels supple too. The texts gathered in this issue seem to deal with the physics, pragmatics, and metaphysics of constraints and freedom, pressure and self-determination. But this is a quick interpretation—probably misleading. One more thing: Lisa Robertson is a contributor.
