RÖTHLISBERGER, Sabrina
UNBREAKABLE CORE
The poetry collection Unbreakable Core, is a journey of a crip body in revolt, an identity that is deconstructed as much as the flesh itself. Each text is a fragment of living time, a scar left where everything seemed destined to disappear. This book tells of convalescence and the body rediscovered between two collapses. An intimate visual archive, spanning the last five years accompanies the poems: hospital, corridors, waiting rooms, bodies on hold, performances, celebration, returns to life.
Röthlisberger Belkacem Sabrina (b.1988, FR) works across performance, film, painting, sculpture, and textiles to create hybrid forms that embody what she calls monstrosity: bodies that are part-human, part-other, where vulnerability and singularity become creative forces. In her work, monstrosity is never negative; it is a celebration of otherness and transformation. Her artistic practice explores the multiplicity of identities, healing, transformation, and the reinvention of bodily and health norms.
