MORTON, Ree; KRACZON, Kate (ed.)
The Plant That Heals May Also Poison
This catalogue proposes a fantastic, in-depth approach of Ree Morton’s installation work, focusing on the archive of a series of projects she made in the 1970s at the ICA Philadelphia, that formed the core of the exhibition, The Plant That Heals May Also Poison, at the same gallery in 2019. The book comprises essays by curator Kate Kraczon—on the Morton’s cosmology—, artist Nayland Blake, art historians Roksana Filipowska, and Abi Shapiro (hers is titled, “Why Have There Been No Great Women Installation Artists?” ;)
