DELANY, Samuel R.
The Einstein Intersection

Continuing the construction of our Delany shelf, this time we are getting copies of one his classic sci-fi tales, The Einstein Intersection, winner of the Nebula Award for best science fiction novel of 1967. As we follow the alien being Lo Lobey in his quest for his lost love, Friza, Delany guides us through classic myths that may be decoys—until they become figures through which binary modes are hallucinated and recoded. OK! But let’s not forget that The Einstein Intersection also reads as a quite exciting tale of the 60’s—conjuring the spirits of Billy the Kid and Theseus as well as Jacques Brel! Aloysius Bertrand! Erasmus!
