Taara Mag #3
Taara Mag was born from a passion for storytelling—an ever-evolving space where culture, creativity, and critical thought intersect. Rooted in a multicultural and ethical perspective, we curate, create, and inform. The name “Taara,” meaning “star” in Hindi, reflects this philosophy—a celestial thread linking past and present, much like the starlight we see today, a reflection of years gone by.
At its core, Taara Mag is a bridge where East meets West, where traditions and contemporary narratives collide. From the underground fashion scenes of London and Paris to the textiles, rituals, and philosophies of the Indian subcontinent and vice versa, we celebrate the cross-pollination of ideas and the richness that comes from cultural exchange. Through the voices of established industry leaders and emerging talents, Taara Mag is a whimsical journey through art, literature, fashion, food, music, and photography. We champion visual wonderment, thoughtful critique, and creative inspiration.
Rooted in the East-meets-West perspective, this special issue brings together conversations, portraits, poetry, and visual storytelling that celebrate creative hybridity. Features include Food x Makeup, Girls in Motion x SZ block prints, portraits of Paris-based artist Zahra Mansoor, and a thoughtful conversation with fashion industry expert Sabine Le Chatelier among others.
