PICCOLI, Cloe; GRAZIANI, Stefano (eds.)
Palazzo Abatellis Palermo
This book is the follow-up of the project, The Hidden City*, developed by Cloe Piccoli and Stefano Graziani in the context of Manifesta 12, and focusing on Palazzo Abatellis, a place that triggers imagination and interpretations – not only because of its historical significance, but also because it was restructured as a museum by Carlo Scarpa in 1954. The book gathers a conversation between Piccoli and Graziani; narratives by Massimo Bartolini and Simon Starling, as well as an essay by the Scarpaist Philippe Duboÿ; and, last but not least, a splendid sequence of photographs by Graziani, showing the Palazzo Abatellis itself.
Texts in English and Italian.
