New Archeology for Liban and Płaszów

This book presents artist Diana Lelonek’s field research in two different sites: the Liban Quarry, and the former Krakow-Płaszów concentration camp in Krakow. Photographs of objects from both locations are articulated to pictures of exhibits loaned by the Geological Museum in Krakow. From the Holocaust to contemporary wars and disasters, and the anthropocene, the projet reflects on the archive of violence – and questions the conditions for “possible futures without violence.”
