You are warmly invited to a publication launch and conversation on painting and gesture between the artist Melissa Gordon and curator Alicja Melzaka.
Portals is a new publication featuring essays by co-editors Gordon and Melzacka as well as a conversation between Gordon and R.H. Quaytman. We will also present Gordon’s publication Vital Signs: Writings on Gesture published by Occasional Papers and MASEREEL in 2024 and edited by Padraic E.Moore. Gordon will contexualise her writing within a longer-term publishing practice she shared with Marina Vishmidt and will present the two older publications LABOUR and PERSONA that they did together 10 years ago. Copies of all publications will be for sale.
