Flaubert’s great novel is lavishly illustrated with over 250 images created for this volume by Marc Camille Chaimowicz. As with all books in the series, the text of the novel is included complete, set in a new typeface, specially for this edition: Berthe, named after Emma Bovary’s neglected child, commissioned and worked with Charles Mazé, who drew this bespoke version based on a Deberny specimen of Série 16 from 1894.
