FEURHELM, Brad
Interrogating Site: São Paulo Syntax
Publication created during the workshop with editor and critic Brad Feuerhelm, founder of the publishing house Nearest Truth, conducted in collaboration with artist Gui Marcondes and supported by Selo Turvo and the risograph studio Panc Press. Seeking to produce images through provocations around alternative ways of observing the urban environment — encouraging approaches adjacent to photography and embracing experimentation with drawings, archives, scribbles, text clippings, and appropriated images — the participants developed small investigations into a space shaped by vertigo and the somberness of hauntings concealed beneath cement-covered streams.
