VAN DEURSEN, Linda
Image Continuum

In Image Continuum, graphic designer Linda van Deursen speaks on the subject of her own image consumption, and how the process of image editing, selecting and sequencing presents itself in her work and teaching. The book includes contributions by MA students Hanafi Gazali and Laura Martens, who further expand on the topic and ideas introduced by Linda.

“Slideshow” is a new lecture-to-book series inviting graphic designers to share the research, methods, and material processes behind their applied work, positioning their practice as a site of inquiry. Produced within the context of the MA Graphic Design at the Estonian Academy of Arts, each talk is published as a standalone volume, accompanied by responses from current students who use writing to engage with the ideas presented. Together, the books reflect the conversations, critical frameworks, and exchanges that define a design school environment—bringing practitioners’ work into dialogue with student perspectives.
