This is the facsimile of an undated sketchbook of drawings by Jason Rhoades – in a light slipcase. As a sculptor working at EPIC scale, Rhoades (1965–2006) used everyday materials to systematically explore life’s big questions. This book serves as a guide to his art by illustrating key concepts, materials, and personal references with didactic cartoons that are humorously enlightening in their own right. Entries are organized by keyword in roughly alphabetical and numerical order: letters A to G are followed by Z to L with a similar switchback in numbers that skip from 1–135 to 394–338 before returning to 170, 195, 138.
