PUMHÖSL, Florian
Florian Pumhösl [Köln/London 2007/08]

This catalogue was published on the occasion of a double exhibition by Florian Pumhösl at Galerie Daniel Buchholz (Cologne) and Lisson Gallery (London) in 2007 and 2008, the core of which were works inspired by the tradition of Japanese book making. Pumhösl’s researches and works notably focused on Gozen Hiinagata (“Dress Patterns for Noble Ladies”), a pattern catalogue by Take Hiratsugi; and on books designed by Japanese modern artist Onchi Koshiro, from the first half of the 20th century.

With essays by Sabeth Buchmann, Thomas Hackner and Jan Verwoert.
