LAMBORGHINI, Osvaldo
El sexo que habla.
“On March 24, 1976, I, who was crazy, homosexual, Marxist, drug addict and alcoholic, became crazy, homosexual, Marxist, drug addict and alcoholic.”
— Osvaldo Lamborghini, 1988.
An excessive and challenging writer, barely recognized outside of Argentina, Osvaldo Lamborghini (1940-1985) was the author of an incredible body of visual works, ranging from collages and drawings, to imposing visual/textual projects such as the quasi artists’ book, Teatro proletario de cámara (“Proletarian Chamber Theater”). El sexo que habla.—released in connection with the exhibition “Osvaldo Lamborghini. Teatro proletario de cámara” held at MACBA in 2015—is the first publication to provide a full understanding of his work, giving an exciting insight into his approach to writing and scribbling, defiguration, transfiguration and transgression.
