Afternoon’s Darkness

Afternoon’s Darkness is an artists’ book published following the namesake exhibition by Somaya Critchlow presented at Maximillian William, London during autumn 2022. It consists of a 32-page folio book in a fitted box (a quite large though: 30 x 45 cm).

The publication features reproductions of all artworks in the exhibition, amongst some of Critchlow’s own personal photographs, accompanied by an essay written by curator and writer Alison Gingeras and an interview between Critchlow and Katherine Angel.
