Mimosa Échard develops a singular approach to plants, beauty products, plastic vessels, tissues, and the fluids that circulate inside and outside bodies. Her work combines natural and artificial elements, as she collects in the woods surrounding Paris different kinds of plants and organic residue, in order to create unpredicatable, mutating hybrids.
Mimosa Échard is a Paris-based artist, whose work was recently shown at Dortmunder Kunstverein, Galerie Édouard Manet (Gennevilliers), Art: Concept (Paris), and Cell Project Space (London). Since 2013 along with Jean-Luc Blanc and Jonathan Martin she’s been publishing the zine Turpentine. She runs the Kombucha Project Center with Michel Blazy.
