Snowman

This artist's book tells the story of Peter Fischli and David Weiss's Snowman, from 1987 to today. It chronicles the sculpture's various stations and development in the form of a wonderfully surprising picture essay. At the same time the annotated collage illustrates the transformation of the snowman's cultural meaning since the 18th century, from "bogeyman" to loveable friend, as well as how the generation of electricity has changed in the last 35 years, from thermal power station to solar energy.
