On An Iron Post

A catalogue of Simone Forti’s Fall 2015 solo show On An Iron Post at The Box, Los Angeles. The pages accumulate like a day of experiences with different energies: abrasive, lyrical, pedestrian, adding up to something complex but without closing in on any particular meaning. There are images of the video Flag in the Water; of a sculpture built out of steel, originally sketched in a notebook way back in 1961; and even a small painting of a sink. [publishers’ note]
