This book gathers the texts from Moyra Davey’s Les Goddesses (2011) and Hemlock Forest (2016)—1st person narratives that are by themselves amazingly thoughtful, introspective, and complex essays in which subjectivity develops in relation with books, the work of others, experience, and the practice of photography.

The book is supplemented with an essay by Aveek Sen, “Low-Hanging Fruit.”
