The first English translation of Viktor Shklovsky's experimental children book Journey to the Land of Movies, originally published in 1926 in Russian. The book tells a story of twelve-year-old Kolya's journeys in the US. While traveling he experiences inequality and exploitation, and at the same time learns how films are made, and in which way movie industry operates.

This is the second edition of the book – with a different layout and more illustrations by Dimitry Mitrokhin. [publishers’ note]

With a foreword by Jyrki Siukonen and an afterword by Rab-Rab’s Sezgin Boynik.
