JB Blunk. Continuum
I’m living. Well, all of a sudden, one day I did something beside cut up firewood. I actually took a log and made a great throne-like chair from it. And then I began to be challenged as to what you could do with the saw, because I wanted to create certain forms.
I live by the sea. I do it by choice. It’s always a very moving experiene for me to go to the beach. There’s always some discovery to make there. It’s very rare that I don’t bring something back from the beach when I go. I see some pieces, just in themselves. But I see the things that move me the most.
—JB Blunk speaking in the film, With These Hands (1970)
