Cette publication formalise et exemplifie l’approche de travail ainsi que la méthodologie développées au cours de ces années de pratiques de design à Arles et internationalement, à travers textes et iconographie, essais d’auteur.e.s engagé.e.s dans des enjeux sociaux, environnementaux et de design, qui contextualisent les activités d’Atelier LUMA dans des problématiques et champs d’actions globaux. A publication that charts the researches and projects led by Atelier Luma—a design and research laboratory in the heart of the Camargue wetlands – between 2019 and 2013. The initiative was born as a work site for design and production, to test new ways of making, thinking, and designing by looking at the natural and cultural resources of this particular bioregion, within the context of Mediterranean histories and communities. This book follows Design as a Tool for Transition, published in 2019.
